About Indian Hill, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The community of Indian Hill, Ohio started as an agricultural community. In the early 20th century, this small town began to attract Cincinnatians looking for weekend homes. They bought up its farmhouses left and right to create little escapes for themselves and their families. In the summers and springs, when the weather is warm, people vacation there as a way to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city.
But, some people who spent their weekends in town began to get ideas about what they could do to make money off of the stunning, rolling countryside. Seeing an opportunity, a group of Cincinnati businessmen formed the Camargo Realty Co. and sold land for $75 to $150 per acre. A community of beautiful, luxurious homes and stables, farmhouses and kennels, began to pop up everywhere. This was the beginning of the end of the town’s time as a farming community. It soon became an upscale suburb for the affluent and privileged.
The town’s culture is one of friendly neighborliness, looking out for one another, churchgoing, and a simple way of life. With each passing season, you will see residents out tending to their animals or walking around in the beautiful countryside. Warm weather brings out horseback riders while the colder months are a great time for sledding or snowball fights. The inhabitants of the municipality like that is safe and quiet, with a pastoral setting and spectacular vistas. People are at ease. The area is so deeply influenced by German culture, that you will likely notice traces of Germany all around the region. However, this town had less German immigrant settlers in the 19th century and is one of the least influenced by German culture and heritage. Instead, it has built a unique and special culture that is all its own.
